First for You Since 1876
"The prosperity of our patrons is the real test of any financial institution. The bottom line is that we are in business to help our customers. If the bank's customers do well, so will the bank."
— E. W. Meyer, 1939
The philosophy of the First National Bank of Hutchinson has not changed since it was founded in 1876. Quality service, capital strength, community involvement and stability are just as important today as when the bank was founded.
The First is the leading community bank in our part of the state. We provide a welcome and needed contrast to multi-state banks, which have a broader focus and must spread resources across many regions; and to smaller institutions such as credit unions, which have a narrower focus and do not offer our depth of expertise and range of services.
The financial world is changing rapidly. The way we bank and interact with our money is also changing. The First is poised to enter a new period of growth by investing in tools and technology that will help all segments of consumers to interact in new and more efficient ways with the bank.
“Since it’s founding in 1876, The First has served as a source of strength to our community. We continue to build on the bank’s quality service, capital strength, community involvement and stability.”
– Greg Binns, President
