June 15 - Relay for Life of Reno County
Employees of The First and their families participate in the Relay for Life walk, the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. This event, held annually in June, takes place at Trinity Catholic High School in Hutchinson.
June 2 - Over the Edge
Benefitting the United Way of Reno County, this unique urban adventure gives you the chance to rappel down one of the tallest buildings in Downtown Hutchinson, The First! For more details on this event, or if you are interested in participating, please click here.
May 4 - Main Street Hops for TECH
The First and various other businesses located in the Downtown Hutchinson area participate in this annual fundraiser for the Training and Evaluation Center of Hutchinson (TECH). At each venue, patrons get the opportunity to sample hors d' oeuvres and specialty brews. For more information, or if you are interested in participating, please click here.
April 20 - Customer Shred Day
The First is helping you clear out old records and documents... spring clean the easy way with shredding at The First! Customers are encouraged to bring in unwanted personal documents to our Sherman & Main (Hutchinson), Andale, Goddard, and Haven locations from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. for on-site shredding.
Quarterly Jean Day Organizations
As a supporter of the surrounding communities, The First and its employees contribute to numerous charitable organizations, both local and national. By wearing jeans on a designated day each month, the following organizations are being recognized in the 1st quarter:
- Big Brothers Big Sisters (All locations)
- Cancer Council of Reno County (Reno County locations)
- Harbor House (Sedgwick County locations)
- Ronald McDonald House Charities (Sedgwick County locations)
- Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Center (Reno County locations)
